• What if you could meet the folks who have been there before and pick their brains for 30 minutes of uninterrupted conversation and advice?

Well (maybe), all these answers and more can be found when you sign up for Career Counseling, presented by Diageo Bar Academy as part of Portland Cocktail Week 2024!

Career Counseling is an invaluable resource for those fine-tuning their career path, just getting started, or looking for a general check-in. The mentor/mentee relationships in our industry help to keep the community thriving in ways never thought possible, and when you sign up for Career Counseling, you get to form these important relationships to benefit you and everyone around you.

Career Counseling will take place Monday through Thursday, October 7-10, from 9-11 a.m. at the Jupiter Hotel. A section of tables will be reserved near the registration area in the lobby for personal 1:1 meetings.

• The sessions will be in half-hour blocks, giving you distraction-free conversation time.

• You can come ready with specific questions to ask or see where the conversation takes you.

• When you sign up, you will receive email and text reminders of your upcoming session. Please provide accurate information so that you receive confirmation and reminders.

• We recommend showing up five minutes early and bringing a notebook and pen because you'll probably want to take notes.

**PLEASE LIMIT SIGN-UPS TO A TOTAL OF TWO SESSIONS ACROSS ALL FOUR DAYS**

We are trying to accommodate as many folks as possible to get the opportunity to connect with a mentor this year, so we appreciate you helping us create that space and giving others the opportunity.

Additionally, if you are particularly interested in a spot that is currently full, please contact [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL] to be added to a waitlist/backup list in case that person does not show up on the day of. We will text you and let you know of any last-minute openings.

Please note that being added to the waitlist does NOT mean you will be signed up for that spot if the person removes their booking. All bookings on this site are completely first come, first served. It only means that if the person who signed up for the spot does not show up on the day of the appointment, we will text you to see if you can make it.
